2016 Screen Actors Guild Award Nominees

The Screen Actors Guild Awards have long been considered a major focal point of the annual award season festivities, especially with how it revolves entirely around the talent in front of the camera that gets most of the attention come Oscar time.

This year, Kenneth Lonergan's Manchester by the Sea led the pack with four nominations, as Denzel Washington's adaptation of Fences and Barry Jenkins' Moonlight each picked up three.

A surprise entry this year is Matt Ross's Captain Fantastic, the Sundance darling which scored two nominations for lead actor Viggo Mortensen as well one for its wide ensemble - a film that hasn't majorly been represented in the awards race up until now.
