Trailer Watch: Alien Covenant

It's no secret that Ridley Scott's 1979 film Alien, is my favorite film of all time. Listeners of Hey Whatcha Watchin? know this, readers of this website know this, the dog knows this. So it was with great joy that 20th Century Fox would hand me the best Christmas present of all with the first trailer for my most anticipated film of 2017. 

By the looks of it, Alien: Covenant seems to bridge the gap between the much maligned Prometheus and that 1979 classic. This is full on, gross-out Ridley Scott in a way only he can achieve, with the trailer featuring a shower scene that is sure to ruffle a feather or two. Re-teaming with cinematographer Dariusz Wolski (his current go to), shades of both Alien and Prometheus are in high abundance here. 

The cast that's been assembled includes Michael Fassbender, Katherine Waterston, Billy Crudup, and Amy Seimetz, most of whom will most likely meet gruesome deaths at the mouths of the Xenomorph. 

Alien: Covenant arrives on May 19th 2017, and looks to be a bloody good time in outer space where No One Can Hear You Scream.
