Trailer Watch: It - Trailer #2
With the MTV Movie Awards (yes, they're still a thing) airing tonight, we've been gifted with a second trailer for It, the upcoming Stephen King adaptation/remake. Unlike in the first trailer that premiered last month, the new clip focuses not on Pennywise the Dancing Clown, but on the protagonists of the story; The Losers' Club.
From the looks of the trailer, this new batch of kids are going to be fan favorites for sure. The teaser features some great immature gags (Staph Infection), a rapport between the young actors that feels natural and a very lived in world. Director Andrés Muschietti working with a screenplay by Cary Fukunaga (True Detective) seems to have nailed the tone of Stephen King's original novel. Check out the trailer below!
It will be unleashed on audiences this September, and is planned to be the first part of a two film adaptation. With this and The Dark Tower finally making its way to screens, stay tuned to Talk Film Society for the Summer of King, our upcoming retrospective on the cinematic adaptations of his work.
