Trailer Watch: The Mummy

Next summer, the reboot of Universal Studios classic monster franchise kicks off with the release of The Mummy, directed by Alex Kurtzmann and starring Tom Cruise.

Tonight the first full-length trailer debuted, featuring a number of intense action scenes and character moments, with none other than Dr. Henry Jekyll (Russell Crowe) being featured front and centre - another indication of how Universal intends to tie future films together for an eventual horror-themed Avengers super franchise. Also starring Annabelle Wallis, Courtney B. Vance, Jake Johnson, and Sofia Boutella as the titular mummy, it will be interesting to see how audiences will take to this reboot and if they dearly miss Brendan Fraser, but for now, check out the trailer below:
