Double Edged Double Bill 231: The Wackness of Dear Evan Hansen
Throughout November, Double Edged Double Bill is revisiting topics we've done previously. So, we're kicking off the special theme month of "Revember" with a return to coming of age films as we anticipate The Fabelmans and Armageddon Time! First, Josh Peck ascends from Nickelodeon sitcom star to indie lost youth coming of age under the tutelage of Ben Kingsley in The Wackness! Then, a 27 year old is miscast as a sociopathic teen in the infamous musical adaptation Dear Evan Hansen! Together, our heroes answer the crucial questions. How does Ben Kingsley's work in 2008 average out when it includes The Wackness and The Love Guru? Is Evan Hansen the greatest movie monster of the 21st century? Which two films will they pick for next week's episode in which we return to the world of spoofs? Well, grab something out of your ice cream cart and wave through a window while you listen to find out!
