Dream a Little Deeper: Episode 9 - Alice in Wonderland
This week, Harrison and Alex find themselves in a deeper rabbit hole than expected discussing Alice in Wonderland. Alex once again covers production history, including the previous failed attempts to get an Alice movie made. Harrison steps in with some context about Carroll’s life and the Victorian literary movement. Tazmyn starts off our discussion segment by explaining why the movie resonated with her as a child, how dark and transgressive Alice in Wonderland feels, and concerns surrounding Carroll’s relationship with the young girls he befriended. The Tweedles make Alex profoundly uncomfortable. Harrison brings up Kingdom Hearts again.
